Not starting my visit yet
Unfortunately, my experience with the reception and room allocation staff was very disappointing. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00 AM and waited for almost three hours without receiving our rooms, despite being exhausted from travel and accompanied by elderly ladies. When we politely asked the receptionist to check if someone could assist or clarify the situation, his response was cold, sharp, and unhelpful. He simply stated that check-in starts at 5:00 PM, without showing any empathy, offering an apology, or attempting to provide a temporary solution. The issue was not the hotel’s policy itself, but rather the unprofessional and insensitive manner in which it was communicated. This level of customer service does not reflect the standards expected from a hotel that claims to value guest comfort and hospitality. I sincerely hope management reviews this situation and ensures better training for front-desk staff, particularly in handling guests during long waiting times.

Bad customer service and staff is rude
Just bcs the card is not working I have to stand in the queue for 30 minutes and my airport taxi is coming in 10 minutes. I may miss my airport taxi and such a poor service. Not understanding the situation and 1 star rating. Nothing was good and all bad service.

Very special experience
I truly love staying at Mövenpick Anwar Al Madinah — it feels like a second home every time I come to Madinah. A very special mention goes to Shahinaz from ALL Accor Guest Relations and Usman from the Executive Lounge. They were absolutely incredible: attentive, kind, professional, and genuinely caring. Their service went far beyond expectations and made my stay truly exceptional. The Haram view is simply breathtaking. Being able to pray from the 14th floor with a direct view of Al-Masjid An-Nabawi is a priceless experience — serene, spiritual, and deeply moving. Few places offer such a perfect balance between comfort, spirituality, and proximity to the Prophet’s Mosque. Thank you to the entire team for consistently delivering excellence. I will always choose Mövenpick Anwar Al Madinah when in Madinah.

Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had
Check-in was scheduled for 5:00 PM, yet we did not receive our room keys until 6:20 PM. During this time, we were made to wait in the lobby. Each time we asked whether our room was ready, we were told to stand again in the same check-in line, which was approximately 30 minutes long. We checked on the room over four times, and only after changing our tone and asking to speak to a supervisor were the keys finally handed to us. When we entered the room, it was filthy. The carpet was visibly dirty, giving the impression that it had not been properly cleaned or sanitized. Basic amenities were missing or unusable — there was no shower gel or soap, and the shampoo and conditioner bottles were empty. The hair dryer did not function properly. It would only work periodically, forcing me to turn it off and wait several minutes before turning it back on again. Even when it did work, it was very poor quality and barely produced any air. The Wi-Fi was extremely poor, making internet access unreliable throughout the stay. Additionally, the TV channel guide sheet in the room, which listed the channels and their corresponding numbers, contained spelling errors, reflecting a lack of basic attention to detail. There were also cakes displayed in the lobby with no napkins or plates, and guests were grabbing the desserts by hand. This was extremely unhygienic and a clear health concern, allowing germs to spread openly in a shared public space. Overall, this hotel showed a complete lack of organization, cleanliness, and basic hospitality standards. I would not recommend staying here and would strongly advise management to seriously address these issues.
